Gamesa Wind Turbines Private Ltd, with the signing of a repeat order of 80 MW Wind Power Project with an emerging independent power producer, would now be supplying in two places – 25 units G97-2.0 MW turbines at Tagguparthi, Andhra Pradesh and 15 units of G97-2.0MW turbines at Dewas, Madhya Pradesh.
The commissioning is scheduled to be completed by March 2015. Gamesa would be responsible for the full scope of site development, supply & commissioning of the turbines and Operation & Maintenance. The agreement also includes a comprehensive Operations & Maintenance agreement for 10 years.
Ramesh Kymal, Chairman and Managing Director, Gamesa India, said, “We are delighted to receive such a valuable repeat order from an emerging independent power producer. It clearly proves our expertise in the domain and a strong presence in the Indian Wind Industry”.
He added, “We value this relationship and confident that our G97-2.0 MW will surely be able to maximize the return on investment for the IPPs”.
Gamesa is present in India as technology provider and wind farm developer. The company, which ended 2013 as the leading wind turbine OEM in India by market share, has installed over 1,100 MW and manages capacity of more than 850 MW under O&M agreements. In its capacity as wind farm developer, Gamesa’s pipeline in India stands at 4300 MW.
