Kia, the South Korean automobile manufacturer, is said to be bringing introduce its Electric Soul hatchback to the US market in 2014. The South Korean automaker confirmed about the US release of its all electric model in a brief press statement following the media launch of the completely redesigned 2014 Kia Soul.
We don’t have much information about the specifications of the vehicle right now. But some unconfirmed reports indicate that the specifications of the new electric vehicle will be similar to other small electric cars in the market.
The vehicle is expected to have a range of around 100 miles per charge, and a top speed of around 87 mph.
The company claims that the new electric vehicle will be up to 85 percent recyclable at the end of its lifetime, which sounds really good.
The company expects that the iconic urban passenger carrier will help them to capture a good portion of American electric vehicle market revenue.
The company, which was recently ranked as one of the “50 best global green brands” by Interbrand has great hope about their new release. The auto world expects that the urban vehicle will come with a price tag of around $35,000.
