The e2O is what India is currently raving about. Rolled out from the Mahindra Reva stables, the new electric car with the Mahindra stamp on it, is the current cynosure for all automotive freaks out there. The car being an EV, the enthusiasm knows no bounds. The price is a charmer, and that adds to the celebration.
The Mahindra Reva e2O comes sporting a Rs 5.96 lakh tag and offers zero emission properties. Driven by 48-volt lithium ion batteries, the EV returns a range of 100km per charge.
Mahindra will throw in next generation Lithium Ion batteries, so that the car is picked up by urban commuters who look for efficient zero emission vehicles.
With Mahindra Reva taking the lead further with regard to electric vehicles on the Indian terrain, clean mobility has become even more possible. It is expected that incentives from governmental agencies would chip in with some added support.
The car can be charged by plugging into any 15 amp plug point – be it home or workplace. The addition of Sun2Car solar technology will take charging options to a further exciting plane.
The cars are now being readied at the Mahindra Reva plant at Bengaluru in southern India, which has a capacity of 30,000 cars per annum.
For Rs 5.96 lakh, clean mobility should get a thumbs up. What is your take on this?
