Would you like to check into a hotel made of snow and ice? You then need to head for Hotel de Glace , which is now all geared up for the winter season. Since its launch in 2001, the hotel has attracted over a half a million people around the world. Each winter it opens with a dazzling decor that includes snow vaults and crystalline ice sculptures.
For this year’s winter, Hotel de Glance opened last week with some gorgeous fireworks display and this year’s artistic theme is “journey to the center of winter.”
The theme is inspired by Jules Verne and it guarantees visitors a journey to a frozen fantasy.
Each room is decorated with snow made sculptures. In order to entertain its customers, the hotel has included an Ice Bar where the glasses and the chandeliers are made from ice. Guests are allowed to make their own ice glass, or can visit the Old-Time Sugar Shack.
Currently, this hotel includes forty four winter themed guest rooms that can accommodate families and couples, where the beds are specially made with Arctic sleeping bags.
Hotel de Glace is located at only 10 minutes from downtown Quebec City and is open for visitors until March 24th.
