Hybrids, ahoy! These hybrid vehicles have all in them to rule the road, not just in term of style, elegance and class. They are super fast too! Just because these rides are hybrids, you needn’t underestimate their torque potential. Not only are these hybrids smooth and stylish, they are fast and furious too.
We have already seen most of the designs and ideas of our future supercars and their promise of hundred per cent sustainability. These cars are just a glimpse into what the future holds for the planet. Let’s take a look at them here:
Lexus LF- LC
The interior and exterior of this beauty has been designed by Calty Design Research Center in Newport Beach, California. The interior of Lexus LF- LC has much more to offer than most cars as it features a remote touchscreen control system linked to two LCD displays. As an addition, there are also smartphone-sized touch screens attached to the door armrest for extra controls.
Kepler Motion is the first hybrid super car that made its debut at the 2009 Dubai International Motor Show. Kelper Motors is set to hand assemble 50 of these beauties. Under the hood rests a twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 Ford EcoBoost engine that produces 550hp, and is mated to two electric motors up front generating 250hp total.
Porsche 918 Spyder
By now, you might have heard all about this beast! Porsche plans to manufacture 918 units as a 2014 model, with deliveries scheduled to begin in December 2013.
First unveiled at this year’s Paris Motor Show, the Peugeot Onyx comes powered by a diesel engine and an electric motor so as to deliver an impressive 680 horsepower.
Did you know that the BMW’s i8 can hit 100km/hr in just 4.8 seconds? The BMW i8 Spyder is a plug-in hybrid with a three cylinder turbo diesel engine, mated to two electric motors which allows the roadster to generate 139hp.
