Fly Green This Holidays: Costa Rican Hotel Made from an Old Airplane

It must be fun to live in an airplane! Don’t you think so? Have you ever dreamt of living in an aircraft? Here’s a way to make your dream come true. All you need to do is to visit the rainforest resort called Costa Verde Resort near Quepos in Costa Rica.

Costa Verde is a perfect destination for either a short stay or for those seeking a little adventure and those who love ecotourism.

The resort has much to offer to you, and they include sport fishing, surfing or maybe a stroll along the tranquil sandy beaches here.

Situated on the edge of the Manuel Antonio National Park, the Costa Verde Resort features an incredible hotel suite set inside a 1965 Boeing 727 airplane.

The airplane was transported piece by piece from the San Jose airport to its current location on a pedestal 50 feet above the beach. Five big trucks were needed to get the plane out to the resort.

All rooms offer balconies that give you an excellent view of the Park’s majestic coastline.

Although the expensive transportation did make a negative ecological impact on this project, it now stands tall as a dramatic example of adaptive reuse and renovation.

So, book a ticket before it is too late and catch this flight for a better holiday!
