Lauren Conrad Designs Eco-friendly Bags From Recycled Plastic

Lauren Conrad, the reality star and designer united with BlueAvocado on a new series of eco-friendly accessories.

The collection includes cosmetics bags, shopping carryalls, and lunch totes. They are made with Repreve, a fabric derived from post-consumer water bottles. Named as the XO(Eco) collection these collations are available in two colors a black-and-cream with “tuxedo stripe” and a mint-and-pink on “bird on a wire” print.

According to the designer, these eco-friendly collections will help women to organize and simplify their lives. The new line of collections uses the signature mark “XO” that represents Lauren’s commitment to a ‘lovable style for a liveable planet’.

The range is divided into food-on-the-go, beauty, and travel categories with a makeup clutch, iron cover which can withstand up to 500 degrees, reusable lunchware, a 12-piece jewelry roll, a computer case, and a weekender bag.

The price tag starts from $9.99 and every item holds an eco-impact label which lists the product’s environmental metrics like the number of bottles recycled (anywhere from three to 35) and the product’s overall carbon footprint. Above all for every purchase, BlueAvocado decided to donate 1 percent of the profits to the ocean preservation and restoration.

The XO (Eco) collection by BlueAvocado is available on Amazon. The collection helps to recycle the millions of disposable bags and plastic bottles instead from landfills and oceans.
