Outfits Inspired By Endangered Species on Show

Look what animal welfare activist and wild life conservationist Gabby Wild is out to this time. As always, she has proved yet again that her mind is tuned towards the conservation of the environment around. Her latest venture spreads awareness and at the same time wants to raise funds so as to support and conserve the ecosystem.

Her campaigns are different; ranging from competitions, challenges to travel expeditions. This time she is out with “12 in 12 for 12,” a fundraising campaign that promotes wildlife conservation through fashion.

For each month of 2012, this veterinary student will wear only one garment of an original design which is inspired by a critically endangered species.

She invited well known designers with strong environmental interest and provided a list of 12 animals and told them to choose the one animal which was closer to their heart and make outfits with this inspiration.

Once the project gets over, she plans to auction off the dresses at the Greenest Fashion Show to Date by Gabby Wild Foundation. The show will be conducted at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, and it will feature a series of musical performances, including world-renown flautist James Galway.

All the profits from the show will be given to the animal welfare projects, and the donations to the Gabby Wild Foundation are tax-exemptible.
