T.H.R.E.A.D.S, the dazzling runway of sustainable fashion, brings Eco-fashion to Manhattan,New York. This Green Festival features a group of eco conscious designers and their collection. The following list includes the designers and their collections details.
Vaute Couture’s cruelty-free apparel label attracted many including Alicia Silverstone and Emily Deschanel. The label boasts chic and sexy sweatshirts, dresses, shorts, and coats. They opened their first flagship store in Williamsburgwas constructed entirely from salvaged materials.
Heart used earth-friendly textile materials from hemp, linen, and Tencel, which served as canvases for its colorful digital prints. The designs are based on original photography and they feature everything, from lilypads on water to tree-lined landscapes.
ARTISTS AND REVOLUTIONARIES
Brooklyn-based Artists and Revolutionaries showcased a series of loose-fitting, neutral-toned garments. Differentiated by the use of repurposed leather, cashmere, and organic cotton, these outfits narrowed the gap between artwork and wearable fashion.
Anjelica Krishna founded A.D.O. Clothing in 2008 and it uses only Global Organic Textile (GOTS)-certified fabrics. It combines 5,000-year-old Ayurvedic dyeing techniques with modern, fluid designs that are free of any chemical residues.
CRI DE COEUR
The shoe designers Cri-de-Coeur is known for its stylish, contemporary, and most important, animal-free footwear, bags, and accessories. They use only vegan materials like low-VOC polyurethane, 100 percent recycled Ultrasuede, and reclaimed wooden soles.
Allison Parris collection catches every eye in the show with her sophisticated yet kicky evening wear. This party wears blend luxury fabrics with playful details like beadwork, peplums, and plunging backs.
