The automaker giant BMW unveils its updated Active Hybrid 7 car with a number of modifications. The new model is part of a much larger update for the entire 2013 BMW 7-Series line.
Active Hybrid 7 will hit the road with a 55-horsepower synchronous electric motor and hybrid-spec 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission.
This hybrid car possesses some special features, such as the electric motor, which provides an extra 155 lb-ft of torque if drivers a quick sprint. The vehicle’s ECO PRO mode allows drivers to prepare for potentially hazardous road situations.
The hybrid vehicle homes a lithion ion battery and has the capacity to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 5-and-a-half seconds. Well, the vehicle’s EPA numbers are not available yet, therefore, we can’t say much more about its fuel efficiency.
The start-stop system, common in hybrid vehicle, is also used in this car. It is proved by various tests that Active hybrid 7 can run as much as 14% better than its predecessor. The vehicle can handle gasoline very well.
