The Peraves MonoTracer MTE-150 is one of the most amazing electric vehicle concepts we have come across. The two-wheeled cabin has already bagged the Swiss X-Prize title with its amazing prototype. The latest we hear on the concept is that the Peraves MonoTracer MTE-150 has gone into production and is now targeting a big chunk of the market.
The Kevlar monocoque cabin cycle is equipped with a new third generation 150 kW AC Propulsion system and advanced interiors. A lithium-polymer battery pack of just more than 20 kWh of energy provides the electric power for the automobile. The vehicle can be driven up to 200 miles with a fully charged battery.
The electric cabin cycle delivers a remarkable 525 MPGe (miles per gallon gasoline equivalent) when driven at 45 miles per hour speed. The vehicle promises around 350 MPGe in the normal conditions.
We hear the MonoTracer MTE-150 can race from 0-to-60 mph in just under 5 seconds. Earlier, while revealing the prototype, it was said that the spacious cabin cycle will attain 60-to-120 mph speed in just three seconds.
This means along with the high efficiency and performance, the two-seater vehicle offers good speed for the speed freaks.
The company is trying to showcase a market-ready model so that buyers can get a closer look and test ride the concept in California soon. You can watch a video of the MonoTracer MTE-150 below. Tell us your thoughts.
