The Kardashian sisters have always been in the news for their maverick actions. This time, they are at the receiving end with an anti-fur campaign raging against them. Model and animal activist Joanna Krupa and model Katy Cleary have united for the anti-fur campaign, so as to stop sale of fur at the Kardashian sisters-owned Dash shops.
In an online petition, the activists seek to bring to the world’s notice that the Kardashian sisters are always seen wearing fur clothes while being fully aware about the fact that many people look them as a fashion inspiration.
Being a star does not come only with fame and fortune, but also with the awareness and responsibility, it has been pointed out. While Dash is not a huge shop, the activist models are all out in their campaign to stop sale of fur there.
The anti-fur campaign’s goal is to achieve 100,000 signatures. So far, they have managed around 53000.
It is ironic that one of the celebrity sisters, Khloe, had earlier posed nude for PETA’ s anti-fur campaign which said ‘I’d rather go naked than wear fur’. With fur on sale at her own store, the sisters are now in the line of fire.
Would you approve of fur sale?
