The all-electric Nissan Leaf that went on sale in December 2010 turned one this week and the company released a new commercial where electrical sockets sing for the anniversary.
Nissan announced it has sold over 20,000 Leafs worldwide in the past year.
Of the total, roughly 9,000 cars were sold in the US itself. According to the company, the sale has helped in racking up “more than 32 million gas-free miles”.
The commercial has 27 electric sockets in various houses serenading the birthday song to commemorate the occasion. Now that’s one happy little electric-car. Happy Birthday, Leaf!
