Eco-Friendly Brides Hit the Ramp; Welcome to Couture

Now that bridal industry and eco-friendliness have wedded, it is but apt that their wedded existence is being showcased at the fashion show in New York. New England’s premier bridal shop SEAMS Couture is taking their green work ethic, and captivating bridal designs, to Couture: New York Bridal Fashion Week. Formerly called  `Wedding Channel Couture Show’, this event is considered by the whole world as the leading bridal industry tradeshow.

During this bi-annual event, held in April and October, hundreds of vendors and fashion designers come to showcase the latest fashion trends of the bridal world.

The greatest highlight is the focus on organizing an eco-friendly event that doesn’t sacrifice beauty and luxury for sustainability. This sums up what SEAMS Couture is all about. SEAMS Couture has always focused on marrying high fashion with an ultra-green outlook.

As New England’s premier bridal boutique, SEAMS Couture has promoted the use of sustainable luxurious fabrics and an Earth-friendly work environment both in their own Wenham, Massachusetts based workroom and at the Elegantly Green Wedding Showcase, an annual bridal event hosted by SEAMS Couture and the Manchester, NH based Pure enV Events.

At Couture, SEAMS Couture will be showcasing their Wrapture Collection. The Wrapture collection was created by SEAMS Couture designer Harper Della-Piana in response to “But I’ll never wear again!” — the most common complaint of bridesmaids the world over.

The Wrapture Collection mixes classic silhouettes that will never go out of style with a simple wrap and tie beauty aesthetic that eliminates the need for costly alterations.

Dress items from the Wrapture Collection stay in style and fit beautifully for years after the event that they were created for.
