This is the story of someone who really, really loves animals. Ruby Rose, the Aussie model and DJ, is already a popular figure for being a Peta supporter for years. She has now stripped down for a noble cause. Rose has always been against the use of fur in fashion. Now, to show her support for the fight against fur, she has posed for Maxim Australia, wearing nothing more than tattoos. She appears on the cover of the October issue of the magazine.
The shoot, which is supposed to be an anti-fur campaign, is a joint venture between Maxim and Peta. It features Rose modelling a variety of wigs and posing provocatively.
The animal-rights organization had once asked Rose to do an “Ink, Not Mink” campaign. But this is the first time she is highlighting her animal-rights beliefs.
Rose later told the magazine that the photo shoot was not only fun, but it was also for a good cause. She also said that she “can’t get past the idea of having an animal that’s been skinned alive on top of me and somehow thinking that’s cool from a fashion standpoint.”
And, in an interview with the Herald Sun, Ruby openly criticized the Australia’s Next Top Model for the use of fur on the show.
Don’t forget to check out the video of the shoot.
