Philips has gone green with the launch of their new environment-friendly handsets in India. The mobile phones, which come under the company’s Xenium brand name, come with green additions and power management technology. The new devices come with a very long battery life. You will get near zero-consumption of battery charge on standby for up to 2 months without increasing the battery size. Doesn’t that sound amazing?
The phones are also equipped with high-end features such as a 3-inch touchscreen and 5-megapixel autofocus camera with flash, and all of the devices are dual-SIM. The company promises an impressive standby time of approximately 50 days and as much as 16 hours of talktime.
The handset Xenium X806, which is the premier model of the series, costs Rs 8,280 and will provide you with 8 hours of talktime and 1 month of standby.
The Xenium X518 and the Xenium X523, with price tags of Rs 5, 976 and Rs 4, 992 respectively, are also expected to offer a good deal for buyers. The X518 has a 2.8-inch touchscreen display and a 2 megapixel camera with flash, and the memory can be expanded to 16 GB. The device comes with 40 days of standby time and 12 hours of talktime.
The Xenium X523 is equipped with a 3.2-megapixel clicker and its memory is expandable to 32 GB. The device offers a standby time of 50 days and 16 hours of talktime.
Three other phones in the series namely Xenium X513, X116 and X121 costs Rs. 4, 776, Rs. 2, 760 and Rs. 1, 776 respectively. The company is also expected to launch a 3G smartphone and an Android 2.3 Gingerbread phone in India soon.
