If you have plans to fly to the Philippines on a holiday next time, make sure you think green. Going green is what the SM Supermalls at Calamba City is doing at the moment and you can chip in with some support. SM Supermalls has launched their stylish eco-friendly shopping bags as part of their participation in the UN International Year of Forests.
This follows the implementation of the zero-plastic ordinance for Calamba City, Laguna. The SM Eco Bag, made from hardwearing non-woven fabric, is sourced from 100-percent polypropylene.
As you know, polypropylene is proven to be recyclable, non-toxic, allergy-free and non-reactive to human skin. The material is also durable enough to last up to two years.
The latest SM Eco Bag collection comes in four new designs that deliver the message “I Am Involved”. Being involved means supporting the celebration of the UN International Year of the Forests and by having a green lifestyle simply by using SM Eco Bags.
So far, some 1.5 million SM green bags have been distributed worldwide, including key cities in Asia, the United States and Europe.
SM’s new Eco Bags can carry books, documents, and school projects and is tote bag for weekend trips. Proceeds from every SM Eco bag purchased will be used for the benefit of an environmental cause.
