Frankfurt is on top gear in its run up to host the much awaited motor show in a few days. Many a beauty will roll in but what interests us are those hybrids and electric cuties. Our tuning in to Frankfurt a while ago has made us happy, as we hear the stunner of a hybrid electric vehicle from the Ford stables is all geared up to show up. The Ford Evos concept will see wraps fly off it when the curtains go up on the show. One glance at the concept will bring to your eyes a shapely beauty that’s intelligent and brawny too. Now, does that give you an idea of how the Evos concept is gonna be?
The gull wings doors and the Aston Martin-like grille are more than enough to make you to fall in love with the Evos concept. There’s this Ford signature all writ over it, and it comes in the form of a four-door coupe. The bulging hood, LED headlights and the futuristic cabin that boasts a cloud-based computing system make the Evos a must own.
The car will also incorporate an advanced chassis that downloads map and weather data so as to adjust the steering, suspension and braking systems for optimum enjoyment, comfort and safety.
The car comes driven by a powertrain similar to what we have seen earlier in the C-MAX Energi. Features could include a 2.0-liter petrol engine, an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. We hear the petrol engine and the electric motor can work in tandem so as to boost driving pleasure and performance.
Ford says the Evos Concept has been “built around the driver”. That could well mean they are offering the ultimate in driving pleasure, for sure. So when you get to take the Evos out for a spin, you will virtually be in the driver’s seat and wrapped around with simple surfaces, a muscular, athletic character to the slim upper instrument panel and enhanced by bold trapezoidal cut-outs. The cockpit comes with curvy detailing helping you get secondary information about vehicle and infotainment systems. Ford has thrown in options for driver interaction by way of an advanced driver interface.
Significantly, the rear seat passengers also get dedicated touch-screen displays to interact with the vehicle and individually adjustable sports seats. Attendees at the Frankfurt Motor Show will be lucky to get a glance of the Evos concept. Are you one of them? Write to us on your experience.
