Yo! That’s what it’s called. When you write it you will have to spell it ë. . Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov has built this $10,000 hybrid car, christened ë-mobile, in his home land, and man, let’s tell you she is sure to go global. Prokhorov in fact spent $198.4 million so as to marry a gasoline engine with an electric motor to create the power to drive the car.
All components have been sourced in house from his country and he just lifted the wraps off the car’s prototype in Moscow a while ago.
The ë-mobile, as the WSJ reports, aims at breaking the stereotype belief that Russia can’t produce good cars. Prokhorov, however, had reportedly tried thrice before he was successful.
It is expected that at least 10,000 “Yo” series cars will roll out . The car is likely to be taken to markets overseas, in markets such as other regions of Europe.
The maker has already started looking at the European Union regulations his car will need to comply with so that he can be sure of a market around.
The ë-mobile can run at a speed of 130 km/h and would return fuel efficiency at 3.5 liters per 100 km. We guess we are charmed by what we see in the pictures alongside. Tell us what you feel.
