Go-Ped has introduced an upgraded version of their Hoverboard that is said to assist the authorities in fighting crime and traffic. The prototype high performance portable patrol vehicle (PPV) is inspired from the fully-suspended American-made stand-up scooter and the refreshed version will be incorporated with some additional components and options to make it a new breed of machine.
The scooter is powered with one full kilowatt hour (kWh) worth of lithium battery which supplies the power to T2V3 Torkinator motor that is said to be developed for high-end machines.
This power-plant of the device will speed it up to a maximum of 30mph and it is capable of handling a 300lb rider. Autobloggreen says disc brakes are attached to the front and rear wheels to offer comfortable braking and the range of the vehicle is likely to be 30 miles.
It will also feature stronger handle bar and body frame. Weighing less than 60 pounds, the PPV can easily be shifted in the boot of the police cruisers.
It is also crafted with options for handling extra handcuffs and some more similar facilities will actually complement the cops’ duty. The company promises this scooter to be far better than the Segways that the NYPD acquired in the past.
The company has not revealed much on when it would start retail sales of the product for the common man. They are expecting orders from the law and enforcement agencies in cities and various campuses across the U.S to boom the initial sales of the product.
