PACT has initiated a plan by which they intend to extend support to the women in the housing camp in Cité Soleil, a red zone invaded by violent crime, rape, and looting. The company has introduced a new line of line of eco-friendly intimates by teaming up with industrial designer Yves Béhar. PACT will be providing a solar LED lantern to those women on each customer purchase of these sustainable skivvies from PACT’s new Winter Lights collection.
This initiative is undertaken by Citizen Effect and EarthSpark International as an aid of lighting hope to the devastated Haiti by distributing solar-powered lamps to displaced families in Port-au-Prince.
Even a year after the calamity in Haiti, numerous civilians are still accommodated in housing camps under tarps and tents, most of them without lights. PACT’s initiative will be encouraged as it will be indeed a helping hand for the city that suffers from lack of light. And when provided with a source that is clean, renewable, and safe, definitely that proves to be a gift for those people.
The company has stated that they had been receiving wonderful feedback from the camp, especially from those women who received the lamps.
The Winter Lights range is made from 95% organic cotton in Turkey and it is offered for the customers in three different holiday-themed prints for both men’s and women’s styles. It is $18 that costs a thong and $26 for a boxer-brief.
