The London College of Fashion and the renowned beauty company The Body Shop UK have begun collaborating on a new project that will provide environmentally conscious consumers with amazing options for cruelty-free makeup. The new range that will be produced will be a limited edition range which will be a sustainable makeup and accessories line ready for Spring 2011.
The range is being called Brush with Fashion and will be launched at the fashion school. The launch will be accompanied by a fashion show, with models wearing products from the eco-friendly range and eco-friendly clothes designed by former students of the London College of Fashion – William Tempest and Jena.Theo.
The range will be available in markets for the public to access in the early months of 2011m says Ecouterre. When a customer buys products from the new range, they will also get the built-in animal-free brushes which have been designed specifically to give speed, precision and portability – all highly important factors for touching up make up.
Colors in the palette of the new range seem to be making a statement as well – the publicity campaign in print reveals eye shadows in shades of chocolate, apricot, fawn, and pearlized white, pink and silver; blushes coming in hot pink and dramatic eyelashes.
The campaign publicizing the new range is bold and graphic, with artwork that has been done by fashion illustration undergraduate Katarina Voloder.
