Park Your Cars on Vertical Spaces, Live Amidst Wind Turbines: Tata Tower Gives Mumbai a Green Way of Life

Ever imagined where you will park your mean machines comfortably if you are in Mumbai a few months down the line? Parking is going to be a major problem, with the Indian city stretching the population limits. When there isn’t any space for even human beings, how do you expect to find some breathing space for your car? Hey wait, there seems to be a solution coming up!

Tata Motors (who else?) is coming up with a unique idea to make you smile. The Nano maker will build its Tata Tower which will comprise residential space, vertical parking garage and energy generator all in one complex.

Designed by Seth Ellsworth & Jayoung Kim, the Tata Tower will be a perfect solution to address Mumbai’s population woes and also cut down on the population explosion’s impact on the environment.

The designers, says Autobloggreen, have thought on vertical lines and given shape to a structure that could house 930 of Tata’s employees along with their families.

This apart, parking spaces for 4,050 electric vehicles have also been ensured on minimum land.

Significantly enough, solar energy, wind turbines, and an algae farm have been incorporated into the design so as to enable the tower generate enough energy to run the apartments and charge the electric vehicles that are parked inside the complex.

That’s sounds awesome. Thank you Tatas!
