Panasonic Corporation has demonstrated their new eco idea for lifestyle and business-styles at the electronics trade show held this week at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City, Tokyo. The eco friendly offerings include Panasonic Home Energy Management Systems, Networkable Eco Navi Home Appliances and the 3D Plasma and Camcorder which aims at providing a green lifestyle which is safe, comfortable and at the same time enjoyable.
The Panasonic ‘eco ideas’ Forum 2010 encourages customers to live eco-conscious lifestyles with an aim to reduce CO2 emissions in households and manufacturing units with the objective of developing a sustainable society under the concept of “eR = ‘eco ideas’ Relations”.
The designers and engineers at the company are following stringent measures and procedures which exploit technology to design products that are more energy efficient, water efficient and long lasting and thereby ensuring environmental compatibility.
Actress Dia Mirza is the Eco Brand Ambassador of Panasonic’s Eco Ideas initiative. According to Techwhack, she opined during the exhibition that the lead role company has undertaken for collaborating with communities, encouraging individuals to assume greater responsibility towards environment by adopting energy saving lifestyles besides working on innovative technologies & eco-conscious products to make greener societies is exemplary.
The Eco Ideas for Life-styles comprises of packages promoting lifestyles that result in zero CO2 emissions. It enables people to realize a more eco-conscious lifestyle from small ideas contributed by each one.
The Eco Ideas for Business-styles aims at making eco-conscious products and delivering them to customers. It also aims to realize four “Zeros” including zero environmental impacts by reducing wastage of energy and resources during manufacturing process.
Panasonic has been undertaking steady steps to reduce its carbon imprint and increase awareness about the threat of global warming. The company also focuses on making available energy-efficient devices such as rechargeable batteries and heat-pump air conditioners that use low-loss power control technologies.
Another innovative step by the company is ‘Eco Awareness Program’ across 100 schools in 7 metros. The program is all about student sensitization and engagement modules on global warming. It aims at spreading awareness on the climatic impacts on flora and fauna and eco ideas to save energy.
Panasonic had earlier announced its green movement in India, ‘Eco Caravan’. The program spans across the major metros, and aims at creating awareness on environmental issues.
