Casio has made official its new Green Slim projector that makes use of green technologies in a major way. The device that comes with a pretty large display size of 100-plus inches, is capable of full-HD 1080p signals from a laser and LED hybrid light source. Significantly, this lasts 20,000 hours! Aimed at die hard gamers, the Casio Green Slim projectors are now being offered by Casio for something between $799 and $1099.
The company has stated that the new device boasts of a Laser & LED hybrid light source that enables mercury-free, high-brightness projection.
Besides, it clocks high-brightness projection by deploying blue light emitted by a blue laser, green light converted from blue laser light with a fluorescent element, and light emitted by a high-lumen red LED through a DLP chip onto the screen. The 20,000 hours of light source life has been made possible a result of the laser and LED hybrid light source. This light source life is in fact 10 times that of Casio’s conventional products that come with high-pressure mercury lamps.
The new Casio Green Slim projectors come sporting an HDMI terminal that can transmit digital audio/video with only one cable. Game systems with an HDMI output can be directly connected to the projectors.
Casio has incorporated 2X zoom lens for large- screen projection creating life-size gaming, and it has also ensured that the laser and LED hybrid light source enhances color purity.
