Ever wondered how it would be like to live in a solar powered home floating on water. RAFAA Architecture & Designs have given shape to a mobile floating home, and have christened the home The Last Resort.
About 5 meters wide and 15 meters long with two levels, the new floating home comes spruced up with sleeping bunks, mechanical equipment and hatches. While these are on the lower level, the upper level provides for living space complete with kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. The house has been designed in such a way that a total of six beds can be placed inside some space which is secured by a sliding panel that can help you close off the rooms.
The roof is accessible via stair cases, and it also doubles up as an extra deck. The roof is smattered with solar panels that take care of electricity needed to drive the two electric engines that propel the home.
RAFAA’s design had recently won a competition event and thereby managed to secure some amount of funding. The funds are to be utilized towards fabrication on the floating home.
