Honda CR-Z Hybrid Coupé sports car goes the green way; showcased at Detroit show

Sports cars can be green too. Honda has just proved this. The new CR-Z Hybrid Coupé from the company’s design house is all green.  The car maker has unveiled a production version of the compact 2+2 coupé  at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

A hybrid sports car, the Honda CR-Z Hybrid Coupé  is driven by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine as well as a 13bhp electric motor that drives the front wheels. The two engines return 188bhp power , and also ensure 35g/km fewer emissions. The CO2 specs read 117g/km. Fuel consumption is just  56.4mpg. Honda has added some amount of LED lighting, making it charming to look at.  The engineers at Honda have incorporated three driving modes making the vehicle run ensuring laudable fuel economy. Honda might sell the car for £18,000 in the UK soon.
